Pros

Benefits are always good given the company size. Good for people who are happy to do little work on a daily basis.

Cons

They pump you full of self love, tell you how great you are. But when the shareholders aren't happy, they cut jobs, in 7 years of employment we went through 6 redundancy cycles. Love to promote themselves as a caring business, and sold business to focus on the UK. But they didn't want the UK staff. As they got rid of 90% of their IT workers as soon as Lockdown eased, and shipped it to India during their own crisis, all for profit to the billionaire stakeholders. They never change. Because of the huge, and I mean huge structure, progressing is near impossible. This company has more board members than most firms have staff, the money they waste would run a small country.

Pros

Aviva genuinely cares about its staff, and is trying to do the right things.

Cons

It is the most frustrating place in the world to try and make changes. All management are interested in is red tape. It is suffocating.

Pros

Like in most places, there is a pool of capable and dedicated team.

Cons

Job has no progression as it is not tied to capabilities and results. Progression is only available if one is identified to be worthy of being in the inner circle of some senior members. In current times of restructuring, people function has not been clear. Rather, a vague process with minimim instructions were given with tight timeline for action (if any). Clearly a way to avoid having to compensate for roles they internally deemed redundant
