      Great training opportunities Microsoft consulting expertise Great growth opportunities Top level management shows commitment to vision and values

      Cons

      Middle management is incompetent Not a lot of projects on offer for one to pick zones of interests Poor foresight in terms of forecast of sales, revenue, bench strength and overall business.

      Pros

      Great place to keep current on the latest MS technology. Super training programs. Good people. Very good place to work if you are in a stage of your life where you are looking for job variety and travel. If you are one of the rare folks who have both strong technical and good people (consulting) skills, then Avanade could be a good choice for you.

      Cons

      Overly bureaucratic. Often top down management decisions didn't seem to make sense at the customer level. Because of the structure of the organization, it was easier to get noticed (from a career perspective) if you lived near one of the major development centers.

      Pros

      Project based consulting will give you a lot of experience very quickly. Will have access the cutting edge Microsoft technologies. If you prove yourself and drive your career, Avanade will take risk and let you accelerate quickly. Ability to move around company Internationally with ease. Great training and access to Avanade and Accenture resources. If you are in consulting, you are the product and are treated well. World class training.

      Cons

      Not for people who want an "8 hour day" career. Must be self driven to progress. High chance of travel if not located in a client area. Many times sub to Accenture. Moderate pay to other consulting companies.
