Pros

Good place to gain 1st hand experience into the IT industry but after that its all downhill.

Cons

Training is sometimes non-existant and when it is delivered it's usually too late to put to good use. Not alot of support is in place. It's really your luck of how supportive your direct team is when you join. Don't even get me started on the salaries. Somehow they think they justify your pay by continuously "stretching you" in a "challenging" environment which generally means "we'll pay you the same rate for much more work"

Pros

I'm sorry for not being constructive here but it is difficult to be constructive . Initially it does give the new employees an illusion of working for a massive international company which unfortunately wears off pretty soon. So you can say that's a pro?

Cons

Frankly it's a horrible company to work with. They do not reward their staff and changes the goal post each year when it comes to promotion or the annual pay rise which is suppose to match inflation. My friends who work in other companies moan that they only get 3%, I'll be happy to get that! At present the only way to get a decent payrise is to change companies. With all the hurdles they put in front of you each year, this would be the easiest route (That's why some of the senior project managers left, hopefully I'll be one of them soon). My advice is to avoid this company like the plague. With regards to the previous review, I agree this company is so cheap, no one has ever heard of Atos Origin, even people I speak in the same industry go, "who??? Never heard of them". This company is now such an embarassment the board is publicly revolting and want to break it up and sell. I say sell it, it can't be any worst than it already is. This company makes me wanting to go back to my days as a Computer Helpdesk. Yes it's that bad!

Pros

Atos Origin is a world wide IT partner of Olympics committee. So there are opportunities in working for the summer and winter Olympics. Typically through internal volunteering (using your own vacation hours, but the expenses are paid). It is fun. But you have to go through a big competition. Another big benefit is that they are pretty generous for H1B workers. They have sponsored most of my co-workers' H1B and GreenCard application.

Cons

Atos Origin is not a very well paid company. Plus since the team is fairly small, there are not much too learn or to work on. In a long run, it is not good for a service/consulting company.
