"Top heavy company that refuses to invest in talent outside of the Newsroom"

Pros

Great location and flexibility of working hours for senior staff

Cons

Well below the market rate for new starters and junior positions. For such a large company, very little emphasis is placed on integrating new staff into the organisation and making them feel welcome. Staff at all levels tend to keep to themselves, so if you are looking to socialise with your colleagues, this is not the place for you.

Pros

Great way to start off your professional career in journalism. I am very thankful for AP for the opportunity.

Cons

It is a fair amount of traveling for the stories. However, I do enjoy it.
