Pros

good money, low stress, casual atmosphere. Set up around elections and prep sports so if you're into sports you can connect with the subject matter. Generally have at least 4 tv's on at all times with various sports on.

Cons

little to no room for advancement, part time. Due to the focus on the prep season the employment is only about 9 months per year. There is no advertising for positions, you basically have to know someone to get on there.

Pros

covering the news is exciting and AP is still the best place to do that. you are surrounded by amazing talent and when we are focusing on delivering the news it is a rewarding job.

Cons

Our business is changing faster than we can keep up. Management seems confused and off track. There is very little attention spent on diversity in hiring or story ideas.
