      Engineer driven with focus on real results and not politics Aggressive growth targets underpinned by Softbank's capital muscle

      Cons

      Entrenched culture of in house tools and flows which may be inefficient or cumbersome to external engineers Management is often hyper focused on established techniques which may be described as a risk averse culture

      Challenging Work with Great People

      Pros

      Great benefits with lots of holidays, vacation time, sabbaticals and a focus on overall employee reward. They have an open culture and are supportive of new ideas where people are push into new technologies early and lead.

      Cons

      It's a smaller company and their isn't much room for mediocrity. Everyone is expected to know what they are doing or have the ability to figure it out. So there isn't much large scale process or tools support across the engineering teams, but this is changing.

      Pros

      People in the industry are astonished that Arm is ~5,000 people given the impact the company has. And despite being 5,000 people, I think we've retained the buzz and culture we had when we were a fraction of that size. Arm is jam-packed with very smart people who are exceptionally motivated to do what is right for Arm's customers and colleagues are always helpful and supportive. Benefits are great and whilst salary was falling behind peers a couple of years back, recent corrections have made it competitive. On top of base salary, other cash benefits make the total package way more than I could get anywhere else.

      Cons

      Arm is a high-challenge environment, especially around technical ideas.
