Thank you for sharing your review. Our Workplace team works tirelessly to create offices that feel like Arm while reflecting the environment they’re in – I can’t wait to get back to them! Arm operates in a dynamic industry where change is constant. To be successful long-term we need to be agile and respond to that change which means it’s not always possible to stick to a single path. We do everything in our power to minimize the impact of change on our people but sometimes we need to increase or decrease the priority of projects. I’d be interested in hearing more about your experience – particularly if you have a particular change in mind – so please contact me - adele.mcintosh@arm.com.

Pros

Arm good place to work until few years ago. Not anymore. Work life balance is good.

Cons

After the Softbank acquisition, only CPU derivative products being done here. Work is very monotonous. No challenging projects. To Top it, most of the senior management in the CPU teams in Bangalore is filled with non-technical folks, who don't understand things in the projects , but who understand only 'resources' and 'milestones'. Everything else is noise to them. Whoever talks more in meetings , seems to moves up the ladder fast. This has caused Arm to loose many good technical folks, which in-turn has increased the burden on us. Teams are genrally short staffed, so when this is raised, the management folks in turn start questioning our ability instead. This sets very negative environoment , which has caused rise in attrition. Management only want 'Yes Boss' people who will blindly execute and not smart tech guys who can identify and solve challenges. Very monotonous work. Promotions seem to be unfair also, as seen in the recent past.

In our most recent Life At Arm survey, along with Glassdoor reviews, our people rate the ‘Work-Life Balance’ along with the flexible hours as some of the best attributes to working at Arm. In enabling learning being easily accessible anytime anywhere, we have launched online learning options for all. The experience you detail, certainly isn’t a typical Arm experience that we regularly get feedback on. For that reason, we would like the opportunity to understand and explore your experience further, to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Would you be so kind as to reach out to Shyam Sadasivan, Director of Employee Experience who is based in Bengaluru office. His contact details can be found in our internal organizational chart and Outlook.
