Pros

Young and dynamic environment that throws challenges/rewards at your regularly. Lots of room to improve, grow and make a difference if you are looking for that. Company is encouraging and supporting employees to volunteer, contribute to community and even give financial (cash pot every year) support to develop themselves in every way possible.

Cons

Company is growing so fast (>25% this year alone) that we have several new employees joining every week. Integration of the new folks into projects might be challenging.

Thanks for leaving a review! When we were a publicly traded company, we had both RSU/ESPP plans to give employees ownership of the company they worked for, so their success at work also meant success for them financially via stocks. As we are now a wholly owned subsidiary of Softbank, we have no stocks/RSU/ESPP as part of our Rewards package. In its place, we now have both the Launch and Partner awards, in addition to the Arm Flexpot, which provides an annual set amount to each employee to use as they see fit for personal development, health and wellbeing or charitable contribution. I've already use mine for hiking boots and a massage! -Rick C. Employer Branding and Social Media Specialist

Pros

Pay is good, culture is good, work-life balance is great.

Cons

Location in Austin is somewhat "middle of nowhere" south of downtown Austin and requires a car to get to.

Thanks for leaving a review! Finding a place that can house 700+ employees while also providing parking requires a lot of planning, with the current facilities at Encino Trace offering both. Since we signed up as one of the original tenants during pre-construction, we also had ample feedback and say in the layout/design of the building. The idea was to being able to house everyone all in one spot as opposed to spread out over multiple building, similar to our Cambridge offices. That said, we do offer a lot of flexible working, providing employees with the tools they need to remote login to access data/HPC as needed. The work-life balance you mentioned also extends to the trust we have in our employees to get their work done. This could mean you work a different time shift, say from 6am-3pm, to avoid traffic, or from 8am-3pm to head home and pick up your kids, while then finishing up the last 2 hours from home. I encourage you to talk to your line manager on more flexible working scenarios, as ultimately it starts with the employee/line manager relationship. -Rick C.
