Pros

Generally touts good work life balance and this is overall the case, however can vary by direct manager. Decent cafeteria.

Cons

Politics and optics are key to success here, rather than actually making substantive impact. Slow moving and lots of red tape making the experience untransparent and frustrating at times. People feel uncomfortable giving feedback because the culture isn't set up for it, resulting in a lot of passive aggressive comments and gossiping in the workplace that get cycled back to you.

Pros

Gives you a good hike when you join

Cons

No process at all in the company, you call HR they are not aware about the policies, payroll people are less knowledgable( had to struggle for 4 months to consider my previous employment tax ), perks are not same city-wise Gurgaon has more perks but Bangalore facility is just for the sake. No management is proper here, no escalation matrix. you have to give full time in office and then you will have late-night calls from 9 to 12 (might even extend), the manager will try to extract the maximum out of you (will make you work in multiple projects)

Pros

Pay was decent and benefits too

Cons

Things really changed when Amex lost the Costco account. It because a sales job first, and customer service second. The supervisors didn't care about anything except sales, sales, sales. If a customer called in to dispute a charge, pay a bill, ask a question, the rep was expected to make a sale somewhere during the call. The metrics were impossible. Once Amex lost the Costco account, they were scrambling to keep customers. It was sad. I asked in my initial interview if this was a sales job, and was told it was not. Within 2 years, it was a sales job. Very little training, but they had such high expectations that it was impossible to meet them. I had such high hopes for this company, but they because just another credit card company, and nothing special.
