      Pros

      The pay and benefits is the only good thing. You will have a hard time finding someone who will match what American Express pays you.

      Cons

      They've taken the human out of the job. I feel like they use to value their ccp's so much more then they do now.

      Pros

      It is a good place to work as long as you can manage the stress of constant lay-offs (restructuring, re-engineering, migrations, etc.)

      Cons

      There are two kinds of employees at American Express - those that have been laid off and those that are going to be laid off. Over the last 10 years that I worked there restructuring happened increasingly frequently to the point where it happened AT LEAST annually.
