Pros

- Opportunity to gain management experience incredibly early on in your career, which ultimately spearheaded my admission into a top 10 MBA program. Alumni routinely go on to top-tier graduate programs. - I received significant client-facing responsibility from the start, including high-level conversations with decision-makers. Experience working with major global clients across industries helped accelerate my business acumen quickly. -High standards were matched by a tight-knit, collaborative culture. Performance was rewarded, but not at the expense of team support. - AlphaSights' sponsorship program has paid for half of by MBA tuition, with no requirement to return to the firm. This is incredibly unique compared to alternative sponsorship benefits. I've been provided true freedom in choosing post-MBA paths without financial pressure or obligation. - Meaningful internal mobility opportunities and ability to transition across functions, geographies, or teams.

Cons

- Rigorous learning curve can be challenging and incredibly fast paced. However, this has prepared me for adversity to the utmost ability, making challenges and hurdles outside of AlphaSights feel more manageable - Not ideal for someone looking for a 9-to-5 or slower-paced role. - Feedback and development are prioritized, but it requires thick skin and self-motivation. These are key skills and mindsets to develop early on in your career. - Depending on the manager or client, scope of role responsibilities can fluctuate constantly. This a challenge but also a growth opportunity for adaptable team members.

Pros

- Complete autonomy / ownership of role for Associates. Much more so than management consulting or similar roles where all direction comes from senior management. Opportunity to earn additional compensation through high performance - Strong career trajectory - can become a people Manager within 2 years and VP within 5 years, both much faster tracks to management than comparable roles. Manager role brings really good career experience and lends itself to many different paths, including MBA. Vice President role has very strong comp and huge amount of responsibility and ownership - Really high engagement from leadership down to Associate level. People are lifeblood of the business and very valued - Diversified workflow keeps people learning and company is great for those who are hardworking and intellectually curious

Cons

- Company only promotes internally, so less opportunity to learn from people with diverse backgrounds at other companies - Very in-office culture. Great for those who love it, can be challenging for people who are firm on wanting a high degree of remote work

Pros

If you're willing to work 12+ hours a day and understand the role, you'll be a "high-performer" and make good money. People are fun.

Cons

Half of the associates don't really care about hitting their numbers and a lot of unmotivated individuals. If you work hard and care, you'll be good and it's not hard to be good. You should know what you're getting into before applying, this isn't a consulting company.
