Pros

Decent Perks with Financially strong performance.

Cons

This company has tons of systemic inequality for people of color or the one who have an accent. The folks here play really dirty politics and environment is really hostile. This brings tons of challenges to someone new coming on board. I have had 2 decades of IT experience working on various global companies in the leadership role. I have had a very successful and rewarding career so far in terms of getting frequent recognition for the work pretty much from all my previous roles. At ABT things have been miserable for no fault of mine people are really conservative and want to do things in a very certain way. It makes you feel down about oneself and if you are colored person in the room there is already speculation about tour skillset and what you can do cause folks are very judgmental and if you have an accent it’s icing on the cake kind of situation. I have felt that on hundreds of occasion I was really shocked to be honest that this type of systemic inequality exists in this time and age with all that is going around. I was elated to learn about hiring of the new CIO last year who happened to be from minority community to see a hope of change but unfortunately she being so high up the ladder most likely don’t get to see or face such issues. HR is non existent on such matter as opposed to proactively work on these things by keeping managers in check. They publish tons of training video and content but all that is on paper in actuality people pretty much go around do all the above stuff. HR do needs to step up. I really do hope things bet better. My advice to management is about equality and remove folks who think otherwise cause that is causing more damage to as a company and halting our growth. It is more like a horse left on the course to run with eyes covered

Pros

-Great place to be trained -Competitive pay, benefits, great matching 401K

Cons

-Favoritism culture, completely in contradiction with inclusion -promoting overworking, no life-work balance, tons of meetings and only after work hour you have to start the actual work, working during weekends is an accepted concept -Lack of expertise/professional attitude in some groups that drag cross-functional effort. Everybody agrees that it exists yet the solution provided is to stay quiet about it as we can not make any changes -Not promoting on time, not providing opportunity to grow except for director's favorites -Senior managers suffer from lack of people management skills and therefore a huge turnover rate
