Great Company, run by Narcissistic Maniacs

Great products that save lives (in many cases), genuinely smart, caring, motivated people

Cons

Mercurial, selfish maniacs run the place. Culture starts with Miles and he runs it like Lord of the Flies. Happy to still be a shareholder, glad to be working somewhere else. Mobility limited because everyone is covering themselves/protecting their pension.

Good remuneration package. Most people are helpful and approachable.

Cons

Overwhelming workload due to too many projects and new initiatives going on at one time with limited resources provided. Local management sets extremely unrealistic expectations. Inconvenient location.

High pension contributions, vhi, nice building, Flexi time, nice canteen, nice peers, parking... Initially looks that offer a good salary package but it is not worthed

Cons

No life balance, micromanagement, poor people skills. Abbott promotes lots of benefits but then it is impossible for employees to avail of these. No structure, legacy systems
