      Pros

      Abbott has a great benefits package and still offers a pension which in today's world is rare. They offer a great work life balance for the most part. They have a great system whereby every 2 or 3 years you move to a different job which allows you to work there for a lot of years without every growing bored of your job.

      Cons

      Because of the large number of employees at Abbott it can be difficult to move up quickly. It's a little bit more difficult to change processes and introduce innovation because of Abbott's size.

      Work life balance and benefits. There are many different types of careers and one can move through several divisions in the company.

      Cons

      Largness of company - entrenched management. Way too much focus on finances and financial reporting. Difficult to get headcount to get the job done sometimes.

      Great pay, quality-oriented, genuine concern of employee welfare, future roadmap has been drawn and steps are being taken to follow that roadmap, management is cognizant of short-comings and are trying to address them

      Cons

      Very poor use of technology, one system serving one need, need to create cross-functional integration of systems and services, hiring freeze in place for contractors waiting on release of new product is not a good business model, management loses workers with valuable information because of Senior Management practices, company falls short of intended roadmap, there's a huge gap between corporate roadmap and actual implementation
