Pros

A large amount of opportunity and support for career development. Great for those who can take the initiative and manage their own careers - it is a big place. It is very important to have the support of your boss. Fortunately there are a lot of good bosses at Abbott.

Cons

Like any large company, there is a lot of bureaucracy - things can take forever to accomplish. Anyone who is not a self-starter could get lost in the crowd.

Pros

As a Temp: Pay Benefits Potential as a long term temp, being extended and/or renewed Competent peers (overall) (Some) very good people In certain groups, fast-paced Independence Ability to expand your horizons / pick up other projects

Cons

As a Temp: Treated as a temp / second class Undesirable people are kept rather than switched out Agency does not communicate well regarding logistics (end date, start and end of benefits, etc)
