- No growth possible even if promised all the time
- Bad communication on tasks and updates
- No Betriebsrat or prevention institution for discrimination and mobbing
- Bosses don’t care about employees as people. They don’t know any personal information about the employees (sometimes they don’t introduce when you join the company and never remember your name). They like to shame and lack any social savoir faire- just awkward atmosphere
- Even though HR is professional and pay is good- turnover is very high and for a reason. Job descriptions are inflated to the ridiculous and, being overlooked, people lose motivation.
- Depressing Christmas/summer parties, where bosses stay till the end to check if you behave
- Very paternalistic, bosses will tell you not to check your phone, will discourage to talk to your colleagues, will look at your screens to be sure your videos are work related and if you wanna turn Spotify on for focus, well - you can’t
- A matter of taste, but… open office structure
- Managers and team leads are reluctant to give feedback: it goes from answering on a chat for urgent issue to organizing feedback talks to discuss work and contract updates. Had 1 meeting in 17 months and so did many others.
- If you work in marketing or product, get ready for a weekly update that never ends.
