Austin office run by incompetent management. Dumb dog in office daily and seems to be a therapy dog. Management appears to suffer ADD and Asperger's Syndrome. They have no car experience but only want to hire people with car sales or management experience. They will promise you the moon but you will NEVER make the money you can make working at a dealership. Turnover is incredibly high. You may last 60 days. They offer employee referral bonuses but fire you before you can collect the referral fee. They are also very interested in getting access to your car industry contacts. Every Monday is orientation to replace employees they fired or that quit the week before. They change the business direction almost daily and have absolutely no idea what they're doing. As an inside sales person you will call dealerships all day that have been called by 8 people before you that are no longer with the company. You will try to get these dealers on the company's auction platform buying cars priced way above the wholesale prices dealers normally pay. The company is buried in inventory (millions of dollars) and losing money daily. Company is based in Berlin and the sales model works there but not in the United States. The Austin office is a dump with no parking. The daily sales & phone call metrics are a joke. Do yourself and career a favor and stay far away from Auto 1, Auto 1 Group or Auto Hero or whatever they call the company this week. Run, Run, Run away.
