Pros

The company is in the stage of exponential growth. Fascinating (or may be a once in a lifetime opportunity) to see from the inside how a billion dollar company grows day by day - to be part of it and have influence on how the things evolve. This is typically a story one can tell to his grandchildren in the far future. Super short decision making process & flat hierarchy. The business model is stable and still has high potential. Some very clever guys around here to learn from.

Cons

This company wants to disrupt the market and this is not coming for free - not ideal for 9 to 5 type people. (Although there's no extreme pressure.)

flexible work-from-home policy, centrally located Berlin office.

Cons

In the past 2 years, there are way more politics in A1 than at Reichstag. Such a toxic and unhealthy environment. Salaries are low, promotions are non-existent, and there is absolutely zero focus on employee development/growth, therefore people are getting demotivated and are leaving one after another (if they do not get fired..)

My immediate teammates were nice people.

Cons

My manager didn't know what he was doing, resulting in me being hired for a role I wasn't really suited to and had no support other than my teammates. The management of my sub-team didn't seem to know much between them, so meetings often descended into 4 men shouting at each other. It was pretty painful - the place felt completely rudderless and chaotic.
