Hectic work -you have to be able to do everything, FAST and precisely, multitasking is something you have to learn really quickly in this job
Bad training - because ALDI is relatively new in this country some of the managers who has been with the company for years are still incapable of organising themselves and working in the team as there were no one who could give them a good training as the company started in UK, you have to bare in mind that ALDI operations are very different to those in other shops and even managers with retail experience have to learn a lot from beginning.
If you are a shop assistant and you have a manager that is not organised your life is screwed, and you will not enjoy the work. therefore go to the shop and have a look how it is being run ( it is normal that stuff is stressed as they have lots to do and only limited time)
Unpaid hours at the evenings is a normal practice, ALDI will pay you only until 8.15pm and it is impossible to finish everything at that time. Usually you will leave the store at around 9pm
A lot of rules that are impossible to follow as there is no time ( i.e. counting the alcohol bottles every 3 hours to avoid theft).
