Morale isn't great at AIG. I understand that they are one of, if not the lowest paying insurance company in the industry. Over the years I've watched several departments made redundant.
Micro-managed to a high degree. You're monitored from the time you log into the system, time spent going to the bathroom or making a cup of tea, time spent on the phone (for work), etc. Regular quality assurance checks mark you down for being human, I think they'd prefer to employ robots.
Middle management are under pressure and they pass that down to their teams. No prospects for career development in my department, however it might be different elsewhere in the company.
Only had two (minimal) salary increases in 7 years.
IT and payroll located abroad, hard to get hold of. Very clunky and ineffective.
