Pros

Really good place to work. A place where a large percentage of the staff stays around for 10+ years. Benefits are better than at other companies I have worked at in the past. Career advancement is good. If you are the type of person that digs into things and does not care about personal gain then you can really improve your position at ADP on a consistent basis. I have known people that becuase they have been willing to go the extra mile have moved up within the company. I am talking about a promotion every 18-24 months on average due to their hard work.

Cons

Sometimes puts the cart before the horse is the best way to describe life at ADP. They will come up with a new product and start selling it before we can even support it. Also the mentality that the sales department is more important than anyone else.

Pros

ADP is a stable company that if you work hard and get the job done, you never have to worry about having your job the next day, next month, or even next year. They take care of the people who take care of the company. The expectations that management have of you aren't unreasonable and are achievable IF you're willing to work. On-site, FREE medical benefits are an awesome addition to relatively competitive salaries, and employees are even still getting bonuses, even with the current state of the economy. Management styles within the company vary, but the management in my group is very good and interested in your personal development.

Cons

A downside of working in a large company such as ADP is that you have limited if not non-existent opportunities for advancement to senior management levels. The raises are small compared to smaller companies, but at least you have a job. And the buildings are over-crowded.
