Pros

Huge opportunities to learn and grow your career if you are willing to look for them and work hard. The business model makes this a very stable company. Company is managed in a financially conservative way. There is a focus on getting things done.

Cons

Lack of investment in internal systems and talent "Old" way of looking at things - leadership needs to take company into the 21st century in order in ensure long term success. The vast majority of work is done by a few bright, talented and hardworking folks while far too many individuals with big titles do very little. There has been an unwillingess to address performance problems in the management tiers and make the tough calls, but this is changing.

Pros

Like any large company ADP has it's share of good and bad apples but contrary to the old saying the bad apples don't spoil the bunch. Excellent performance will be rewarded at ADP and like any sales driven company excellent sales performance will be highly rewarded.

Cons

Again, in a company the size of ADP it takes a lot of effort to overcome inertia and there's more than a little inertia. ADP can be slow to react to market forces and political, budgetary and technical concerns all conspire to produce a mediocre product in many cases when a little more effort could produce a world class product.

Pros

You'll probably keep your job if you work hard, expand your skill-set, show positive results and demonstrate progress. Work-life balance is respected.

Cons

1. You may be very skilled, but you likely will be expected to perform unskilled or semi-skilled tasks on a regular basis. 2. Inflexible case management software leads to tedium, boredom, disengagement. 3. IT is generally reactive, not proactive. 4. There does not seem to be much technical expertise in middle and upper management. Attempts at centrally planning and organizing IT are not effective. The term "Potemkin Village" is applicable in many instances.
