Pros

The management team is wonderful; supportive and wants the best for you. Training is exceptional and after a year, you are well versed to have a business conversation in almost any industry. Great confidence booster.

Cons

Finding out how to navigate through such a large company can be frustrating and time consuming if you have clients with tax, service, HR or payroll issues. It takes a while to figure out who and where to go to have your client issues resolved.

Pros

I work here for the pay. ADP's salaries are not the highest in the world, but the commission structure is built for people who exceed goals to make a tremendous amount of money. Flexibility and autonomy are great too, with a great team culture.

Cons

A lot of extra meetings where people like to hear themselves talk. One of the main drawbacks to ADP is that everyone knows who you are and have had experiences with you positive or negative. Either way, the majority of people have already formed an opinion of you and your company before you even make contact.

Pros

Great benefits, patient trainers, opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them to grow, supportive environment, those who are determined get a chance to move up.

Cons

Stupid rule of tiered raises and staying in a position for a number of months before being promoted or applying for something else. Just realized that the position I left is now posted for almost ten thousand more than what I was making when I left. Reason being I came from within rather than a brand new employee. Think very hard about this point when applying. Bottomline is you get paid MORE valued MORE when you have LESS years with the company. Does that make sense to you? With that being said, I still won't ever go back to the Payroll Consultant because it constantly puts you on a leash (you lose adherence percentage when stepping away to go to the bathroom). I would however love to go back to ADP but this time I won't be underpaid!
