Pros

Pays above market. 401k match. Benefits. Loads of experience.

Cons

Literally drains you of all motivation and will to live. Trest you like a number and not a person. Lord forbid you follow up with your Director about something he promised and never delivered or updated you on. Retaliation is real when you don't drink the Kool Aid.

Pros

My co workers are amazing. I really like the people I work with. The job is challenging and keeps you busy.

Cons

It keeps you too busy most of the time. The department does not know how to distribute work in a way that allows you to have work life balance. They downsized a few years ago and crammed some other job responsibilities into the payroll specialist roll while not increasing the pay of the payroll specialist. They really do not understand the mental distress this role causes their employees and turn a blind eye to it, all the while still promoting company culture and work life balance. They encourage you to join work clubs and to net work but do not give you the time to do these things. My day is 110% dedicated to ensuring my client's needs are met. Department heads do bare minimum to be involved and I do not trust them. They care more about hitting quotas and making money than the well being of the individuals who make this happen for them.

Pros

The people at ADP are wonderful. Easy to get a long with and there is a lot of fun to be had. Great company culture and in office benefits like onsite gym, doctor, food court, game room, side rooms for privacy, rising desks, and team oriented events. Decent amount of time off, when you can take it. The role is challenging and the job itself is a good one.

Cons

The implementation department has no caps for the amount of work they give their specialists, especially payroll. The pay is not competitive, especially for how much work is given and skill that is involved to do the job successfully. Burn out is pretty typical and it is easy to feel taken advantage of. They say they care but their actions to alleviate work load do not demonstrate the buzz words they throw around. And they do not reward often or well enough to make it feel worth the stress.
