Pros

ABB offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health/dental/vision insurance, 401k - 7.5% matched, 3000 deductible fir FAMILY.

Cons

1. Toxic silos and resistance to teamwork Collaboration is talked about but rarely practiced. Some people are kind, but too many go out of their way to avoid responsibility, keeping work locked in their silo just to protect themselves. It creates a toxic culture where getting things done is harder than it should be. 2. Cold and ruthless treatment of employees The true heart of a company is shown in how it treats its people — and ABB has no heart. My layoff experience was handled in the most brutal way: a surprise Teams call with my manager and HR, told my position was eliminated, system access cut off within hours, and instructed to return equipment immediately. No humanity, no respect, just “you’re gone by end of day.” And this wasn’t just me — about 40 others were treated exactly the same way. Employees are disposable in ABB’s eyes. 3. Corporate hypocrisy Leadership constantly pushes values of integrity, respect, and sustainability, but their actions toward employees prove otherwise. Behind the glossy branding, it’s a company that prioritizes protecting the organization over valuing its people. 4. Bureaucracy over progress ABB is a slow, bloated organization where red tape kills initiative. Innovation and collaboration take a backseat to politics and protecting silos. Decisions are made far away from those doing the work, and employees are left powerless and voiceless
