What is HR?
Because Desert Hills, Inc. treats adolescents with a diverse range of mental illness, I was asked how much I could handle if I had to see or hear clients swearing, cussing or trying to self-harm. I was and am able to handle that type of work environment because I grew up in a large family. I also have a family member with autism that I have learned to therapuetically interact with.
Nothing was difficult - just difficult for the hiring manager to remember. Geez!
Autobiography my name and my age
I cannot remember exactly but they probed whether I would be reliable as I have a small child. A super red flag! It was a very sexist and discriminatory question.
