I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Bengaluru) in Mar 2018
Interview
I was called by HR and an interview was scheduled after two days on a weekday.
There were 5 rounds done on the same day over a span of 7 hours.
First three were technical rounds, and questions asked were a mix of Object Oriented Design, Problem Solving and Java internals.
The last two rounds were taken by a Manager and the Director and questions asked were mostly behavioral questions.
HR said he will give feedback in couple of days., but there was none.
Although i could not answer couple of questions, overall the interview had gone well. When i followed up with HR after two days, he said they are going to have a internal meeting the next day and post that , he will be able to give some feedback. But even two weeks after that, there was no feedback.
No complains about the process as such but they dont seem to have a system of feedback which is quite rare and not good.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart
Interview
Initial phone screening by recruiter. The recruiter was very slow in replies and was not much helpful during the interview process.
Then I got a hiring manager interview. I should have had prepared better as the question asked was not very tough.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Reston, VA) in Dec 2017
Interview
Was reached by a staffing company working with Walmart. Had an Initial In Person screen. Was given a coding challenge after that to complete in a week and submit via github. Very unprofessional response - accused me of copying code from someone else. Its a medium level problem, they dont understand that there could be only too many ways to solve it and its not unusual for people to have similar approaches to solve it. Very unprofessional, didnt expect such accusations from a company like Walmart.
