I applied online. I interviewed at Waitrose (Birmingham, Angleterre) in Feb 2022
Interview
Applied through their website, not too bad a process, although you do have to complete some online tests. Invited for an online interview a few days later. Only a temp position. Interview held over Google Meet with one interviewer. Very average, standard interview, though some of the usual questions were reworded to make them sound much more complex than they are... this threw me off a bit. Still got offered a position, though with very few hours, despite telling me I could do full-time, which was quite annoying.

Question 1
(Paraphrased/simplified versions of some of the questions) Tell me about yourself? How would I handle the shift hours? How would I handle difficult customers/colleagues? How have I recently tried to improve myself so that I can reach my future goals? How many hours could I work? Availability? Can I start straight away?
best group interview, ensure you are confident but show that you work good with others but also individually. I got invited to an assessment center, which was really interesting. We had different activities like group exercises and role plays, all focused on testing our teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service skills. It was quite interactive, and I enjoyed working with the other candidates.

Interview
do a bunch of online tests- if successful you will be called in for a group interview of about six people. you will then have to do a few group activities- showing off how you work in a team. then lastly you will be called for a one on one interview- for me this was very casual- nothing to stress about.
