I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at UPS (West Columbia, SC) in Jun 2017
Interview
Emailed at 7am and notified of interview at 5pm. Weirdest/shortest interview/process I have ever been a part of. Group of five applicants showed up, escorted to an office, and waited. We were all interviewing for a PT supervisor position (differing shifts). Called back one at a time for an approximate 5-10min conversation with a manager. Sent back to room, while others interviewed. Seemed like UPS had already decided to hire all five of us, unless there were any obvious red flags during this quick "interview." Interviewer did not have our resumes, a list of who we were, etc...Had to ask and write down our names.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at UPS (Spokane, WA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Hire from within, hard workers get rewarded. Have to pass a management exam. Pass a background check. Business manager selects who he wants for the next supervisor position when it opens.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at UPS (Jacksonville, FL) in Jun 2012
Interview
Grueling 3 part process involving multiple tests taking hours as well as an interview panel. Even if you ace all 3, you can still get denied if the division Manger doesn't like you.
