I applied online. I interviewed at Trane Technologies (Montréal, QC) in Oct 2022
Interview
I went through 3 interviews:
- The first interview was with an HR representative: This one was just an intro. We went through the job description and my work history
- The second interview was with a Senior developer from the team I would work with and the same HR representative. It covered in more detail the job description and what is expected of me. The interview also had some high-level technical questions,
- The third step was to do a technical test (Python coding and design challenge) that I could do from home. The test covered a real-life technical problem from the job I would be doing. It was fun and challenging at the same time to go through the test.
- The third interview was after I passed the technical test and included a meeting with three employees from the team I will work with, including the manager. The interview was really laid back and not very formal, and we went into even more details about what is expected of me, how my time will be divided, and what I will be focused on.
