I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Apr 2011
Interview
Was interviewed but the questions asked was exactly the same as the questions I was asked when I was initially hire for another postion in 2010. After the initial interview it took over 6 weeks for HR to decide on who was to be offered the position. Only 2 people applied for the job.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2011
Interview
I sent my cover letter and CV to the HR person who posted the job on LinkedIn. She emailed me back within 24 hours to set up a phone interview.
The phone interview was about 18 minutes, only about ten of which were her questions for me. She said the VP was on vacation but that she'd get back to me for the scheduling a final on-site interview. I sent a thank-you email the day after. A week passed, and I sent a follow-up. Still no avail. Three weeks later, I sent another follow-up and she said, "thanks for your patience, he's been traveling."
I never received any communications for a decline or feedback. No courtesy or professionalism shown in this process... SO, I am fine with not moving forward with interviews as this kind of business conduct is usually reflective of how companies operate on the whole.
