Standard Chartered Bank Event Marketing Associate interview questions

After almost two months and three interviews, (a mix of in person and online) I was told in the final interview that I was the only candidate to have been brought to this stage of the process. I told them I had another offer but was very keen to join SC and asked if they had any flex in salary. The manager left me thinking that they did want me to join the team, that she would look in to the salary possibilities and get back to me as soon as possible. Fast forward 1.5 weeks and I hadn’t heard anything back. After making enquires I finally got told through HR that I didn’t have the experience they were looking for, despite being told in every interview that they liked my different background and they thought my skills would be beneficial to the role. Very weird, disappointing and unprofessional ending to what had been a positive experience up until that point. Very much time wasters.
