I applied online. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (Londres, Angleterre) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview itself was fine. The interviewers were friendly, and the meeting felt more like an informal conversation—getting to know each other—rather than a grilling with rapid-fire questions.
My main issue was with the communication from the recruitment team. Leading up to the interview, everything was handled well, and they kept me informed. However, after the interview, I didn’t hear anything back. I followed up three weeks later to check for an update, but no one responded. It’s disappointing to invest time in preparing for an interview, researching the company, and even taking time off work, only to be completely ghosted afterward.

Interview
The interview process for an Analyst position typically includes multiple stages designed to assess both analytical thinking and communication skills. It often begins with a screening round—either a short call or an online assessment to evaluate basic aptitude and reasoning.
This is followed by one or more technical interviews, where candidates may be asked to solve real-world data problems, interpret charts, or demonstrate Excel/SQL proficiency. In some cases, there may also be a case study round, where you're given a business scenario and asked to suggest insights or solutions using data.
Finally, there's usually an HR or behavioral interview, which focuses on cultural fit, teamwork, and communication. Throughout the process, clarity of thought, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail are key areas of evaluation.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (Bengaluru) in Mar 2023
Interview
It was 2 years back when I interviewed for this. It was 1.5 hrs long and very elaborate interview. Difficulty level was moderate but too elaborate. Since I had less then one year of experience when I was giving the interview most of the questions were a lot more of what I had studied in college. Also, they covered my previous work experience which was in a different domain. Overall it was a decent experience.
