Interview
It was a pretty simple process with one recruiter interview and two manager interviews. There were no tests but some role playing was a part of the interview which was on cold calling prospective leads. The team seemed friendly.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (Sacramento, CA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Initial phone call, FaceTime interview, a peer interview, a phone call, an email rejection. The whole process took about 2-3 weeks. I felt like I had to jump through a lot of hoops only to get rejected. The peer interview was where you shadow a sales rep on a phone call then chat about personal stuff afterwards (personality and activity wise). The peer interviewer lead me to believe that I was getting the position, which was strange (clearly a good sales person ;) ). I feel like it would’ve been a nice company to work for had I gotten the position. Overall not a bad interview process.
I applied online. I interviewed at Paychex (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2023
Interview
Process included 9-10 steps. The interviewer continued to mention that they have never hired from outside the industry, yet were inviting me to move forward. The processes included 1:1 interviews, shadowing, presentations, a panel and then a final round. Overall it would require an extensive amount of time committed (~20+hours) for a role that was not paying the industry standard.
