I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Paychex
Interview
The hiring process consisted of a phone interview, one-on-one interview sessions, and a panel interview. I also had to take a short math test. I also interviewed in a few other departments before I got this offer. The departments that didn't take me passed on my resume to another department where they thought I would fit better. That was nice! Not too many companies do that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The company asked several behavior-based questions.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2010
Interview
Intense interview process. This is a company that sells HR outsourcing and benefits administration services. They follow rigorous and best of class interview processes. They will go all they way back to decisions you made in high school to see your decision-making paradigm. They will also have you set up a call with every previous manager you have had (again going back to pre-college). It might be a test of sorts to make sure that you don't have any skeletons in your closet, but you never know what a former supervisor is going to say about you.

Question 1
How are you going to stay passionate about something that, from the external view, is mundane?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Paychex
Interview
There is an initial phone screening and you have to pass 2 tests that test general math skills and problem solving. After that there are 3 interviews. My first and 2nd interviews were back to back on the same day. First interview with one supervisor, second interview with 2 supervisors, and third interview scheduled for a later day with the manager. After that you have to pass a drug test/background check. Very involved, but they want good people
