Interview
I received a phone call a few days after completing the online questionnaire asking me to participate in an interview the next day. The first part of the interview consisted of basic questions, tell me about yourself, why carphone warehouse, talk about your experience it was fairly straightforward. The manager orchestrating the interview was really nice and went through the job role answering any of my questions. This lasted about 15/20 minutes. The second part of the interview consisted of me going down to the shop floor approaching customers asking them about their broadband at home and talking about current bundles and deals carphone warehouse was offering for different providers such as vodafone, eir and virgin. The task was set to see how well I dealt with approaching and talking to customers. I had to try and bring people to the desk to find out more information. It was very daunting but once you began talking to customers it was fine. I was on the shop floor for half an hour and then brought back up to the interview room to talk about final details such as pay, hours, training and told I would be contacted within a week or so. Overall it was a good interview process and for anyone that gets through and is worried about the second part of the interview don't be its quite easy you are not expected to know about products just be able to communicate with customers and walk up to them with no hesitation it was very valuable experience from an interview.

Interview
Bizarre, had to fill out a questionnaire that was based on a weighting system, more useless than helpful. I found the whole process to be odd and didn't focus on your skill set

Simple asking of hobbies and a review of your CV. These including what you do for fun as well as what qualification and experience you have. The interview was 1:1 with me and the manager of the store who was very friendly.
