The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Currys in Jul 2016
Interview
The First stage of the process is the Telephone Screening, which will ask basic questions as to availability, salary etc. If you are successful at this stage, my Team Leader then invited me for interview at the end of the screening.
Once in store, there are 3 sections:
Discovery - This will involve 20 minutes spent on the Shop Floor. You will be expected to use your initiative and spent the time doing things such as; Speaking to Customers, Colleagues, Looking at Products and Watching a Sale. The manager will likely ask you some questions about the experience at the end of the exercise.
Role Play - This will be you acting as a Sales Colleague, and your task will be to sell the manager a tablet, ideally with some Added Value Accessories. You are given 10 minutes to prepare.
Competency Based Interview - This will be answering some questions, which aim to assess suitability for the role, including past experience etc. Questions are noted below:
1 stage interview was okay sat in the back and they went through it with me got the job sorted offered me at the interview was easy and explained process and how long it would take to start
Normal process, asked about my background and extra curricular subjects including why I was interested in working in tech.
