Collabera Senior Software Engineer interview questions

Dealing with the recruiters was a bit of an annoyance - Client company was fine, a large bank in Charlotte NC. One phone interview and an offer was made. However Collabera has a weird policy about per diem. Firstly they dont offer it standard... huh? I am travelling out of town for a 6 to 12 month assignment - per diem should be standard. I asked for per diem and they agreed but based it on 5 days per week. This results in a tax disadvantage for me. Other shops offer the per diem based on a 7 day week. IRS guidelines clearly indicate that if the cost of the per diem is less than the cost of travel to your tax home(permanent residence) then per diem is indicated. Ultimately I declined the offer as we could not reach a satisfactory agreement on this point.
