Caterpillar Manufacturing Engineer interview questions

The interview process was very easy. The first round was with the Recruiter and then a few weeks later was with the hiring team. After interviewing with the hiring team I received a email from the hiring manager saying they decided to internally hire a person that was already in the role. So they wasted not only my time, but also the other candidates time. If you knew you were going to hire an internal candidate than why the hiring manager did not do that instead. Sorry Caterpillar Inc, you screwed up and made a bad first impression.

Standard STAR format interview. Situation, task, action result on 5 different topics. These topics range from interpersonal relationships, customers support, differences in opinions etc. There is time for an open discussion
