I was an intern at the CNBC breaking news desk when I was informed that there was a spot open as a news assistant. I'm guessing my interview process was slightly accelerated given that I had already been working there for a semester.

Straightforward interview with vice-managing editor. Basically interested to see how you think and if you are willing to learn.
Other questions were pointing at time flexibility. Was very clear that the job was going to be very time consuming.

Interview
Job was described very accurately and it was quickly determined that I would be a good fit. It was apparent I would be getting an offer pretty quickly, although the actual process of getting to that point took a few months because at that time, they hadn't officially posted the job.
