Apside Data Engineer interview questions

Chit Chat with HR person. Job was advertised as 'Contract' i.e freelance. It seems the HR department does not understand the concept as the job was actually full time / permanent. Comes the question with location, little opportunity for remote work so have to be on site. Then I asked about salary range... reply was 'what was your last wage?' I answered and asked 2 times for their range, explaining I did not want to waste their time or mine. No answer, I proposed to end the interview there. Insisted on continuing.. whatever. Did not hear back afterwards, it's perfect example how poor HR can give bad reputation to a business...
