I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Abbott (Singapour) in Apr 2014
Interview
Interview with 2 people whom I will be working with if I can get the position. A lady and a man. Both are friendly. Asked generic questions, a lot based on resume. It's like a conversation and really just trying to find out more about the type of person you are and what skill sets you have. Just answer truthfully.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Abbott in Jan 2013
Interview
Applied online, the standard stuff. It took several months to hear back, but Abbott was spinning off Abbvie at the time, so it's understandable. Had a brief phone interview with the manager of the IT intern program. Very casual, great conversation. Received an offer at the end of our talk. Maybe 30 minutes total.

Question 1
All the usual "tell me about a time when you were faced with a challenge" type behavioral questions.

Interview
Applied through their portal. Went for one interview and got the offer a few days later. There were 2 interviewers, and they had a list of questions to ask, mostly behavioural, so you'll have to cite instances when you did something that displayed some characteristic they are looking for. The interviewers were nice and chatty, and they made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Overall it was much better than I thought, even though the interview lasted almost an hour.
