I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Covington, KY) in Jan 2020
Interview
The interviewer wants to know if you will clock in on time, won't call off, and work hard/steady. In the end those things listed above are what they are truly looking for. Also, Aldi is for those who want to feel like they put in a good day's work going from task to task throughout an entire shift from start to finish. In closing, you will not sit all day at the register and will be on the move frequently.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Groton, CT) in Nov 2017
Interview
The interview and hiring process was long and seemed to move slowly. I applied at an off-site hiring event, and it took weeks before I heard anything back. I had multiple in-person interviews, both with a local store manager, as well as the District Manager. There were sizeable gaps between interviews and communication, but part of that was probably because they were starting from scratch for a brand new store, and part was the District Manager. Aldi hires young college grads as DMs and they don't always seem to know what they are doing.

Question 1
What is your greatest weakness, personally or professionally?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Bowling Green, OH) in Mar 2019
Interview
The interview is a low pressure environment. The district manager and store manager are present and really just want to get to know you. Aldi is highly efficient and doesn't like to conduct interviews unless they are confident in the candidate on paper. If you got an interview and can show that you're friendly and a hard worker, you'll get an offer.
