First round was alright but strange to me as I’ve had many interviews for graduate roles and this was the first time they’ve been asking questions about my bachelor thesis and not behavioural questions. But this was also first time I was interviewing for a company in Czech Republic so might be their way of structuring interviews.
The issue was after I got invited to the final round where we (on the phone) agreed to a date at the end of month. I got a confirmation email after our call which I didn’t respond to because we literally just agreed on a date and I confirmed my attendance. A few weeks after I got an email from their HR asking whether to terminate my application since I haven’t confirmed my attendance at the final round. Strange, since that was the exact same person I was on the phone with debating what date I could come. However, I’ve still replied the same day confirming that the date is set and I’ll be coming. The next day I’ve received an automated message saying my application has been terminated because I haven’t confirmed my attendance at the final round. I’ve emailed the HR person straight away asking what the issue was because I confirmed twice already that I’m coming. No response to this day. It, again, also just might be their way of communication - to ghost candidates after failing to fulfil their job requirements.
It used to be my dream graduate program that I really wanted to get into, now I’m very happy this is how it turned out as I can’t imagine if I actually had issues working there, how the HR would have handled that.
