Supporting our rider community 🚲 🩵 We're back with a major new partnership with City & Guilds, providing our riders with access to fully funded, in-person and online training courses. By teaming up with a leader in vocational training we're helping our rider fleet gain practical, recognised qualifications in high-growth sectors. Our goal? To enable riders to transition from gig work to new, long-term careers such as: Electrical Installation, Traffic Management, Hairdressing and Dog Grooming. There will also be 1,000 online courses available to riders, including Workplace First Aid, Leadership & Management, and Electrical Safety. This is the latest in a line of initiatives aimed at supporting our riders’ development, including our historic partnership with the GMB, The Big Pitch - our ‘Dragon’s Den’ style competition, over 1500 Lynx educate courses and much more. We’re proud to help our riders build their futures, on and off the road.
Rounding up a jam packed Women’s History Month at Deliveroo… 🌟 Over the last month we've been celebrating the amazing women across Deliveroo through a number of activities and events. 🍼 Our Gender Equity and Parents & Carers ERGs held 'What I Wish I Knew: Live' sessions, showcasing some of our female and non-binary leaders from all across the business during two powerful discussions. 🧠 We hosted Neurodiverse Women in the Workplace panel events in our London and Manchester offices, learning about the systemic under-recognition of neurodivergence in women, and discussing how we can work towards better workplace support and policies. 🤝 We hosted an International Women’s Day Packathon with Trussell, packing 340kg of hygiene, dental, and period products for local food banks. 🩸 We held a session with Christina Lewis, founder of Herizon, exploring how understanding the menstrual cycle can support energy, decision-making, and performance at work. Thank you to all of our incredible colleagues who brought these events to life, creating a month shaped by women’s voices, experiences, and impact 🩵

Mental health at work - let’s talk about it! 🗣️ We kicked off hashtag#MentalHealthAwarenessMonth with an event hosted by our amazing Wellbeing Employee Resource Group. The day was all about wellbeing in the workplace – with talks from Siren Training, and a panel discussion with Deliveroo leaders and employees. It made for some interesting, honest and important conversations on such a huge topic. And in true Roo style, we served up one of our favourite things – food and drink! All thanks to the iconic wagamama, Sipsmith, The HEINEKEN Company, Warner’s Distillery, Double Dutch Drinks | B Corp and COMMON® | Functional Drinks
An important milestone for Deliveroo - improving profitability, positive free-cashflow, and growing.
Our customers (restaurants, riders, consumers) are at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to go above and beyond to understand and serve them better - including setting up a physical Pizza restaurant! (Everyone's day-job escapism dream, right?)
Will, our founder and CEO, is interviewed on The Diary Of A CEO - discussing everything from why he got started to his hardest moment at Deliveroo all the way through to mental health and finding purpose.
We are tripling the size of our technology organisation, across software engineering, data science, machine learning, product management, design and IT. Proud to be at the forefront of the European technology sector 🚀
Our campaign for allyship - School for Allies - supports Deliveroo's LGBTQ+ communities - from riders, to partners and customers - by educating allies and potential allies, one meal at a time.
We have completed a new $180m Series H fundraise from existing investors, led by Durable Capital Partners LP and Fidelity Management & Research Company LLC, valuing the business at over $7bn. Will Shu, founder and CEO of Deliveroo, said: "At Deliveroo we are always focused on developing the best proposition for consumers, riders and restaurants. This investment will help us to continue to innovate, developing new tech tools to support restaurants, to provide riders with more work and to extend choice for customers, bringing them the food they love from more restaurants than ever before. We are really pleased our shareholders see the opportunity and growth potential ahead of us."
