Pros

Even the benefits are dwindling here. Flexible work schedules will help you endure. Some managers will actually see your potential but very few.

Cons

Do more with less. Hourly employees suffer the most in the development groups. No overtime allowed with more work expected to be completed. Managers will try to buck the system by offering comp time to their techs as a reward but if you try to use the comp time given you risk, termination. 2 employees were let go today for that very reason. Both talented, hard working passionate about their work and honest. The news has effected many of us today and we can't help but wonder who is next. It has become very clear in the past year or two that you have to know all the policies and follow them to the letter. Instead of focusing on my job I focus more on how to keep my job. I document everything, I look up policies when I'm asked to do anything questionable and I find as many shortcuts in my work as possible to try and keep my manager happy. Because of this, mine and many others performances have dropped. The job market is tough right now but after today I'm getting on board with the other techs and spamming my resume. It's saddens me that Xerox has become this way. Once a fun, productive, employee driven company is now a depressing, frighting place to be.
