Pros

Dont really see any Pros.

Cons

This review is for Wipro Technologies (IT Sector). UCF exam which if you dont clear you may be asked to leave company, this exam even if you clear once next yr they will ask u to take again saying syllabus has changed which is really pathetic and madness. Also this is made aware after you join wipro. Practice/CoE ppl struggle most because vertical ppl dont consider them and practice dont have more control for appraisals/hikes. Learning curve is most horrific and worrying factor, ppl themself will agree that it is not really adding any value to their experience, customers dont respect wipro much as a quality vendor. Policies are the worst part when you travel onshore, no accomodation/guest house facility you need to arrange on ur own, they will pay u indian salary for initial 3 months and per day basis for expenses incurred on food and accomodation so basically your initial 3 months are as good as you are at offshore and some ppl may return also in those 3 months also so basically its not onshore trip but just a local trip in terms of savings from salary. There are lot of hidden policies, like they will deduct your onshore salary to pay your pf and even employer pf in india. They are deducting more amount at onshore but are paying less in indian account saying that excess amount is for employer contribution towards PF (Pathetic). When employee return from onshore they need to settle the FTR (Foreign Travel Request) which means the advance amount given to employee and until they dont settle the last month of onshore salary is not given. Appraisals are just name sake and are decided by higher management, ppl even are blamed by managers saying that since you are in this team thats your mistake and thats why we cant give you good rating and you can do what ever you want its ur wish. HR is just for name sake to obey what senior managers say. Very poor hikes almost like 2-3% anually. Like this there are n no. of reasons for which you will feel later that why I joined this company. PLZ PLZ AND PLZ IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER OPTION GO FOR IT AND NEVER JOIN THIS COMPANY ELSE YOU WILL BE DISSAPPOINTED LATER.

Pros

Your fellow G100s are great, eager, and fantastic people to know throughout your career. You could also hide at Wipro, do literally nothing, and collect a paycheck for years. No one would know.

Cons

Literally the worst culture I’ve ever experienced. They lied to me in recruiting. This program is pitched to you as a way for MBA grads to identify a part of the business where they can contribute and add value. In reality, your career opportunities are dictated to you by a team in India that has zero interest in your passions or skill set. Diversity is shamefully disappointing. Teams do not embrace diversity of backgrounds, and my new ideas were not welcome. Culture is rooted in bullying. I would routinely finish my work by the late afternoon and receuce missed calls from my manager while working out, living my life, etc. To quote the manager, “you get 30min for lunch. 30min for dinner. And the rest of the day you must be available.” He should have simply stated, “you are always responsible for others being terrible at their job.” Senior management is the most pompous, self-important group of people. Even recent hires are guilty of bureaucratic management practices. They’ll spend the entire day peacocking to their bosses boss, manufacturing stress to their direct reports and adding negative value.

Pros

- Benefits are better than other contractors. - Leaders who were not in my chain of leadership were very supportive and helpful but had no power.

Cons

- Terrible onboarding process that took 4 months because they asked for an extreme amount of details or their system would not move forward. They require illegal (in California) information like previous salary details for the last 7 years. It also had some error on the portal that blocked my progress for a month and leadership had to get involved to by pass the issue manually. -After my first position ended, they would keep submitting me for positions that were a stretch for my skill set. It was a lot of telling the client they had the expert that could do the impossible, and then look for someone with any relevant experience to fill the gap.
