Pros

Beautiful campus. Cafeteria serves great food. Great parking structure where employees do not need to park their cars under the sun. Campus is so beautiful that they are subletting part of the campus to Tesla Motors.

Cons

The company is no longer the VMware we came to know and love many years ago. The internally created EPIC value is mostly marketing but no one at the management level believe in it. This is apparent given how certain VPs are misusing internal funds for a variety of reasons.

VMWare prides itself on hiring the Top 2% of candidates, and when it comes to male candidates this is true.

Cons

So, so many cons to working for VMWare. 1. Gender matters - if you are a male you will likely be overlooked for far less qualified female candidates. 2. Gender matters - if you file a complaint against a female employee, you will be assigned an investigator who will promptly dismiss your complaint and then inform the other party of your complaint. 3. Gender matters - female employees are routinely given higher review ratings, higher raises and greater bonuses.
