      Pay is decent but the culture is awful.

      Pros

      Pay, benefits, work from home some days depending on your role. As salary that is. When I joined as a CS member in 2017 I was given peanuts to survive 30k base pay hourly.

      Cons

      Coworkers in other departments are down right nasty. The culture is very much about pointing the finger first instead if solving problems. No one really cares about the work or the customers, no one wants blame assigned to them for something not landing on the day it should. This company runs on consistent strive for perfectionism, it will drive you nuts. Univar will overwork you then fire you when you cannot keep up. The stress is insane for what they do, they act like they're doctors saving children, it's just chemicals. My boss's boss told me "just because your doing everything to the best of your ability and operating in good faith doesn't mean you get to keep your job" - Regional Supply planning manager for the west. The toxicity at the company is rampant and you'd smart to stay away.

      they take the phishing and cyber security threats seriously

      Cons

      not a place to grow or enjoy unless you decide to be a 'yes man'. The boomer's leading sales and operations teams are so resistant to change that it hurts the business. Instead of evolving with new technology and tools, they are just adding steps to the already broken processes. The data is a mess. This leads to nobody trusting the commission structure. The directors, especially with inside sales is toxic. No one trusts a word from them. It is somewhat a 'bullying' culture that HR enables.
