      Pros

      Employees know the jobs and want to help the company be great.

      Cons

      Too many 'new' VPs with no idea what they are doing, other than trying to figure out how to get rid of any employee who had been with the company more than 15 years! So many good people leaving because of the strained environment.

      Overall, my experience has been positive. It has been a bit of a roller coaster for the company though.

      Pros

      Ability to make an impact with good suggestions. Good benefits, and management teams. Global reach and opportunities.

      Cons

      Lots of initiatives to improve, many structural changes. Slow to adopt standard practices company-wide. Lots of turnover at high levels, and outside hiring rather than inside promotions.

      long term employee caught in the downsizing mentality

      Pros

      Great holiday schedule, nice embroidered shirts(if you can get One!) when it was VWR it was a wonderful place to work, benefits were great

      Cons

      After being let go after 20+ years at UNIVAR, in both the trenches and management, i can say i have seen this company go from great to terrible. The employee is of no value , only actions to improve the bottom line for the investment company,who will eventually sell the lot , again . management is made up of long term employees , who were promoted without the knowledge or experience to manage!,and are destroying the moral from inside out.
